Pauline

Turkey stands out as an ideal destination for a successful family trip. Located just 3.5 hours by flight from Paris, it offers a complete change of scenery without the hassle of jet lag. This country of 783,562 sq km showcases an exceptional geographic diversity, from coasts bathed by four different seas to the high plateaus of Cappadocia, and the snow-capped Taurus mountains.
Turkish hospitality is a major asset for families. Children are especially cherished and welcomed with genuine warmth in restaurants, hotels, and tourist sites. This natural kindness greatly facilitates your travels and creates memorable experiences.
The value for money in Turkey attracts many French families. With an average budget of 40 euros per person per day for an itinerant trip, you can enjoy rich experiences without breaking your holiday budget. All-inclusive packages also help manage your expenses while providing comfort and peace of mind.
The cultural richness of Turkey fascinates all generations. Your children will discover the Ottoman heritage through Istanbul's mosques, explore ancient underground cities in Cappadocia, or marvel at the antique theatres of Ephesus. This immersion in living history turns each visit into an exciting educational adventure.
Finally, the variety of activities satisfies all family tastes. From swimming on the Mediterranean coast, hiking through the lunar landscapes of Cappadocia, to discovering culinary delights at colorful markets, every family member finds something to enjoy.
Turkey holds many treasures that will delight the whole family. Three regions particularly stand out for their cultural richness and suitability for family travel.
Istanbul immediately captivates families with its unique atmosphere between East and West. The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia offer a stunning architectural spectacle that amazes both adults and children. The tour of the Basilica Cistern, supported by 336 columns, plunges your children into a mysterious world worthy of a tale from the Arabian Nights.
The Grand Bazaar is an unforgettable sensory experience with its 4,000 shops spread across 60 streets. Your children will discover the scents of spices, colorful carpets, and local crafts in this fascinating maze that is 560 years old. The spice market completes this immersion with its pyramids of oriental delights.
A cruise on the Bosporus allows you to admire Istanbul from a different angle while offering a relaxing break. Your children will observe Ottoman palaces, Byzantine fortresses, and traditional wooden homes that line this mythic strait stretching 32 kilometers.
Cappadocia turns your family trip to Turkey into a fairy tale come to life. Fairy chimneys, sculpted by erosion for millennia, create a lunar landscape unique in the world. Your children will have fun imagining shapes in these rock formations sometimes 40 meters high.
Use of Step-by-Step Guidance to explore underground cities like Derinkuyu or Kaymaklı fascinates the entire family. These real troglodyte cities, which could accommodate up to 20,000 inhabitants, reveal the ingenuity of our ancestors. Your children will discover stables, kitchens, churches, and storage rooms carved into the volcanic rock.
A balloon flight at sunrise remains the highlight of the region. This activity, accessible from 6 years old depending on the company, offers an exceptional panoramic view over the colourful valleys of Cappadocia. More than 100 balloons rise each morning, creating a magical spectacle in the rosy dawn sky.
The turquoise coast stretches 1,577 kilometers between the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas, offering a multitude of family-friendly beaches. Ölüdeniz with its protected blue lagoon entices with its crystal-clear waters and fine sand. This beach, regularly ranked among the most beautiful in the world, guarantees safe swimming for your children.
Antalya perfectly combines seaside relaxation and cultural discoveries. Its old town, Kaleiçi, enchants with its cobblestone streets and restored Ottoman houses. Konyaaltı and Lara beaches provide all the necessary amenities for families: playgrounds, restaurants, and water sports.
The Lycian region reveals exceptional archaeological treasures. The site of Patara houses the ruins of an ancient city and an 18-kilometer beach, the longest in Turkey. Your children will explore the Roman theatre while enjoying the joys of the seaside.
Turkey offers a multitude of activities specifically designed to enrich your family trip. These experiences combine cultural discovery, natural adventures, and gastronomic pleasures.
Cultural visits in Turkey turn into captivating adventures for your children. The archaeological site of Ephesus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, impresses with its colossal size. The 17-meter-high Library of Celsus and the grand theater, capable of accommodating 25,000 spectators, transport the entire family back to antiquity.
Turkish museums offer interactive approaches particularly appreciated by young visitors. The Rahmi M. Koç Museum in Istanbul, dedicated to transport and industry, allows children to climb into authentic locomotives and submarines. These hands-on experiences make learning fun and memorable.
Craft workshops enrich your family stay in Turkey. In Cappadocia, your children can try their hand at pottery in the traditional villages of Avanos. These authentic meetings with local artisans create precious memories while supporting the local economy.
Turkey offers an exceptional natural playground for active families. Hikes in Cappadocia are suitable for all levels, from easy walks in the Pigeon Valley to more challenging trails in the Red Valley. These marked paths allow you to explore the unique geological formations safely.
Water sports on the Mediterranean coast appeal to families. Rafting on the Köprülü River, near Antalya, offers descents suitable for children from 8 years old. These professionally supervised experiences ensure thrills and safety.
Pamukkale offers a unique worldwide experience with its white limestone terraces. Your children can bathe in natural hot water pools at 36°C, formed by thermal springs. This geological wonder, a UNESCO World Heritage site, combines relaxation and amazement.
Turkish cuisine delights family palates with its diversity and accessible flavors. Kebabs, available in dozens of varieties, generally please children. Pide, a type of Turkish pizza, is a sure bet for family meals.
