Why choose a custom tour in Singapore?

Singapore is much more than a mere stopover between two Asian destinations. This garden city is worth dwelling over to discover all its facets, from Marina Bay to traditional neighborhoods, including its spectacular architectural innovations.

A destination with multiple facets

Your tour in Singapore will immerse you in a world where four main cultures coexist harmoniously: Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Western. This diversity is reflected in architecture, gastronomy, and traditions you will discover throughout your stay. Marina Bay Sands, with its infinity pool perched 200 meters high, neighbors ancient temples in Chinatown, while Little India enchants your senses with its colorful spices and jasmine garlands.

Gardens by the Bay is one of the jewels of your tour, with its 50-meter-high Supertrees that light up every evening in a magical spectacle. These futuristic gardens house over 250,000 rare plants in their climate-controlled domes, offering an extraordinary botanical journey from a Mediterranean climate to tropical forests.

The gastronomic richness of Singapore will turn every meal into a discovery. From hawker centers to Michelin-starred restaurants, you will taste specialties such as chili crab, laksa, and the famous Singapore Sling at its birthplace, the Raffles Hotel, established in 1887.

The advantage of personalized travel with Vialala

Our Travel Planners intimately know Singapore and its best-kept secrets. They design your tour according to your passions: contemporary architecture, historical heritage, local cuisine, or family experiences. This customized approach allows you to optimize your time in this compact but attraction-rich destination.

Unlike standard tours, your personalized journey adapts to your pace. Do you want to spend an entire morning in the UNESCO-listed botanical gardens since 2015? Or would you prefer to explore the lively alleys of Arab Street in search of precious fabrics? Our local experts adjust your itinerary in real time according to your desires.

What to discover during your tour in Singapore?

Singapore concentrates a remarkable diversity of experiences within its limited territory. Each neighborhood tells a different story; each attraction reveals a unique facet of this fascinating city-state.

Must-see highlights of the garden city

Marina Bay forms the modern heart of Singapore, where bold architecture defies the laws of gravity. The Marina Bay Sands, recognizable by its overturned ship shape, houses a hotel complex, casino, luxury shops, and an art and science museum. From its SkyPark observation deck, you can embrace a panoramic view of the bay and its twinkling skyscrapers.

Gardens by the Bay spans 101 hectares and stands as a model of ecological innovation. Its two conservatories, the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome, recreate different climates under glass and steel domes. The Cloud Forest transports you to a world of perpetual mist with its 35-meter artificial waterfall, the world's tallest inside a building.

The Singapore Flyer, a giant Ferris wheel 165 meters in diameter, offers a unique perspective on the 63-island archipelago that makes up Singapore. During the 30-minute rotation, you witness the striking contrasts between the historical neighborhoods and ultra-modern areas.

Sentosa Island, connected to the mainland by a panoramic cable car, hosts family attractions and artificial beaches. Universal Studios Singapore there proposes its thematic roller coasters, while the S.E.A. Aquarium houses over 100,000 marine animals in its giant pools.

Iconic neighborhoods to explore

Little India pulses with Tamil traditions and instantly transports you to the Indian subcontinent. Serangoon Road, the main artery of the neighborhood, is bustling with colorful temples like the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, dedicated to the goddess Kali. The shops overflow with shimmering saris, fragrant spices, and gold ornaments crafted using ancient techniques.

Chinatown preserves the legacy of the Chinese community that arrived in the 19th century. The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, built in 2007, impresses with its Tang architecture and four floors dedicated to Buddhist art. Smith Street and its surroundings offer authentic street food in a traditional night market atmosphere.

Arab Street and the Kampong Glam neighborhood reveal Malay and Arab influences. The Sultan Mosque, with its golden dome and slender minarets, dominates this area with paved streets lined with colorful shophouses. Haji Lane, a narrow alley 100 meters long, concentrates trendy cafes, vintage shops, and street art in a uniquely bohemian atmosphere.

The colonial district, around Raffles Place, reflects the British era with its neoclassical buildings. The Raffles Hotel, founded in 1887, maintains its old-world charm with its colonial suites and Long Bar, the birthplace of the cocktail Singapore Sling created in 1915.

How to organize your tour in Singapore?

The organization of your tour in Singapore depends on your travel goals and the time you have available. This destination is well-suited for a city break of a few days or a longer stay combined with other Southeast Asian countries.

Ideal duration and period

A tour lasting 4 to 5 days allows you to discover the essentials of Singapore unhurriedly. This duration gives you time to explore each neighborhood, immerse yourself in local culture, and enjoy major attractions. For a more thorough exploration including excursions to surrounding islands, count on 7 to 8 days.

Singapore enjoys a stable equatorial climate year-round, with temperatures ranging between 25°C and 31°C. The period from November to February offers the advantage of being slightly less humid, although rain remains possible. The months from June to August correspond to the peak tourist season, with higher attendance but also more cultural events.

The following table guides you in choosing your travel period:

Period Advantages Disadvantages Recommendation
Nov-Feb Less humidity, pleasant temperatures Tourist season, higher prices Ideal for a first trip
Mar-May Stable climate, fewer tourists Rising temperatures Excellent to avoid the crowd
Jun-Aug Numerous festivals, entertainment High attendance, high humidity Perfect for the festive atmosphere
Sep-Oct Return to calm, advantageous rates Increased risk of frequent showers Good for tight budgets

Possible combinations with other destinations

Singapore makes an excellent base for exploring Southeast Asia thanks to its strategic geographical position and exceptional air connections. Our private tours often integrate Singapore into broader itineraries, thus maximizing your discovery of the region.

The combination with Malaysia is a natural choice, with Kuala Lumpur just 350 kilometers north. A 10 to 12-day tour allows you to discover the Petronas Towers, Batu Caves, Cameron Highlands tea plantations, and the beaches of Langkawi before finishing with the bustle of Singapore.

The pairing with Thailand provides a striking contrast between the futuristic urbanism of Singapore and the golden temples of Bangkok or the idyllic beaches of Phuket. This 14-day combination satisfies lovers of culture, gastronomy, and seaside relaxation.

For travelers seeking authenticity, the Singapore-Cambodia-Vietnam trio reveals three distinct facets of Southeast Asia. After experiencing the ultra-modernity of Singapore, you delve into the millennia-old history of Angkor before discovering the breathtaking landscapes of Halong Bay.

Our Travel Planners excel in designing these combined tours, managing transitions between countries, optimizing internal flights, and ensuring that each stage adds value to your overall journey. They take into account your time constraints, budget, and interests to create a smooth and coherent itinerary.

FAQ Singapore

How many days are needed for a complete tour in Singapore?

A 4 to 5-day tour allows you to explore the essentials of Singapore: Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, ethnic neighborhoods, and Sentosa Island. For a deeper exploration including gastronomic and cultural experiences, we recommend 6 to 7 days. This duration also gives you time to fully absorb the unique atmosphere of each neighborhood unhurriedly.

Is it easy to combine Singapore with other Asian destinations?

Singapore serves as an ideal hub to explore Southeast Asia due to its geographical position and excellent air connections. Our private tours often include combinations with Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, or Indonesia. Short distances and frequent flights facilitate these combinations, allowing you to discover multiple facets of the region in a single trip.

What are the advantages of a custom tour compared to a traditional organized trip?

A custom tour with our Travel Planners allows you to adjust your pace and interests. You can focus on modern architecture, local gastronomy, cultural experiences, or family attractions according to your preferences. This flexibility allows you to avoid the constraints of groups and offers you privileged access to authentic experiences that only our local experts know.
