Why choose a custom tour in Spain?

Spain offers an exceptional diversity that deserves much more than a classic organized trip. With its 17 autonomous communities spread over 505,990 sq km, this country is full of hidden treasures that only a custom tour can reveal to you. Our Travel Planners, local experts based in each Spanish region, design your itinerary based on your passions and travel pace.

Unlike traditional tours that follow fixed programs, your personalized tour in Spain completely adapts to your preferences. Dream of strolling through the streets of Seville with no time constraints? Your Travel Planner incorporates this freedom into your schedule. Want to discover Andalusian villages unknown to standard guides? Our local experts open the doors to their secret favorite spots.

This tailor-made approach transforms your trip into a true cultural immersion. Your accommodations are carefully selected, favoring charming hotels over standardized establishments. Your itinerary avoids the tourist crowds with advice from our Travel Planners who know the best times to visit the Alhambra in Granada or admire Gaudí's works in Barcelona.

Flexibility is the other major advantage of your personalized Spanish tour. You can modify your program on the go, extend a stage that enchants you, or add a spontaneous excursion. This freedom, impossible with group travel, makes all the difference between just a stay and an authentic travel experience.

Our Travel Planners also manage all practical aspects: hotel bookings, car rentals for your self-drive tours, skip-the-line tickets for essential sites, and even recommendations for local restaurants. This meticulous organization lets you fully enjoy every moment of your discovery of Spain.

Highlights of your tour in Spain

Spain reveals itself through its regions with distinct characters. Each territory tells a unique story, from the Moorish influences of Andalusia to the Catalan traditions of Barcelona, and the volcanic landscapes of the Canary Islands.

Andalusia, the southern jewel of Spain

Your Andalusian tour unveils a world heritage concentrated in a golden triangle: Seville, Granada, and Cordoba. The Andalusian capital, Seville, welcomes you with its gothic cathedral, the largest in the world with 11,520 sq m, and its royal Alcazar with enchanting gardens. The unique atmosphere of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, with its flowered patios and authentic tapas bars, perfectly illustrates the Spanish art of living.

Granada reveals the Alhambra, a Nasrid palace of the 13th century that dominates the city from the hill of Sabika. Our Travel Planners organize your visit at the most magical times, when the sunset's rays ignite the walls of this architectural jewel. The Albaicín neighborhood, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers stunning views over this Andalusian marvel.

Cordoba completes this trio with its mosque-cathedral, a unique testimony to the coexistence of Christian and Muslim cultures. Its 856 columns of marble and jasper create a stone forest of striking beauty. The old town, also a World Heritage Site, invites you to stroll through its paved streets lined with white houses and flowered balconies.

Madrid and Barcelona, cultural capitals

Madrid, the royal capital with 3.2 million inhabitants, is home to some of Europe's most beautiful museums. The Prado Museum houses the most significant collection of Spanish paintings in the world, featuring masterpieces by Velázquez, Goya, and El Greco. Your Madrid tour also includes the Royal Palace, which has 3,418 rooms, and the Retiro Park, a green lung of 125 hectares in the heart of the city.

Barcelona captivates with its unique modernist architecture. The Sagrada Família, an unfinished work by Antoni Gaudí begun in 1882, attracts over 4.5 million visitors annually. The Güell Park, another creation of the Catalan master, offers a fairy-tale vision with its colorful mosaics and organic shapes. Las Ramblas, an iconic 1.2-kilometer thoroughfare, immerses you in the bustling Barcelona scene between markets, street artists, and lively terraces.

The Spanish islands, between relaxation and discovery

The Canary Islands, an archipelago of 7 main islands located 1,500 kilometers from the continent, offer a total change of scenery. Tenerife, the largest with 2,034 sq km, is home to Teide, a volcano peaking at 3,715 meters altitude. Your hikes in this national park reveal lunar landscapes of breathtaking beauty.

Lanzarote captivates with its spectacular volcanic formations. Timanfaya National Park, created by eruptions between 1730 and 1736, presents a unique geological spectacle with its geysers and colorful craters. The island has more than 300 volcanoes distributed over 845 sq km.

The Balearic Islands, in the Mediterranean, combine heritage and seaside pleasures. Mallorca blends picturesque villages of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and coves with crystal-clear waters on the east coast. Its 554 kilometers of coastline offer a remarkable diversity of landscapes, from rugged cliffs to sandy beaches.

When to go and how to organize your Spanish tour?

The choice of your travel period greatly influences your Spanish experience. Each region has its climatic specificities that should be considered to optimize your tailor-made tour.

Andalusia is ideally visited in the spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October), when temperatures range between 20 and 25°C. Summers can be challenging with peaks at 40°C, particularly in Seville and Cordoba. Winter remains mild with an average of 15°C, perfect for discovering the Andalusian cities without the summer crowds.

Madrid and the center of Spain experience a continental climate with hot summers and cool winters. The months of May, June, September, and October provide the most pleasant conditions for your cultural visits. Barcelona and the Mediterranean coast benefit from a milder climate year-round, with an ideal season extending from April to October.

The Canary Islands enjoy a subtropical climate with consistent temperatures between 18 and 25°C depending on the season. This climatic stability allows you to visit them all year round, with a preference for autumn and winter to avoid the sometimes sustained trade winds in summer.

Here is an overview of the best periods according to your priorities:

Region Spring Summer Autumn Winter
Andalusia Ideal Very hot Perfect Mild
Madrid Pleasant Hot Ideal Cool
Barcelona Perfect Hot Ideal Mild
Canaries Excellent Windy Perfect Ideal
Balearics Ideal Crowded Perfect Closed

Your Spanish tour can be organized according to several formulas adapted to your desires. A short stay of 4 to 5 days allows you to discover a specific region: Madrid and its surroundings, Barcelona and the Costa Brava, or the Andalusian triangle of Seville-Cordoba-Granada. This duration is perfect for a first approach to Spain.

A tour lasting a week offers more possibilities: combine Madrid and Andalusia, explore Barcelona and Valencia, or discover a Canary Island in its entirety. This formula balances cultural discovery and relaxation moments, particularly appreciated by families.

Tours of 10 to 15 days allow for complete immersion. You can then travel across Spain from north to south, from the Pyrenees to Andalusia, or combine mainland and islands for a contrasted experience. These long stays reveal the full richness of Spanish diversity.

FAQ Spain

What is the ideal duration for a tour in Spain?

The optimal duration depends on your travel goals. A long weekend of 4 days is sufficient to discover Madrid or Barcelona, while a week allows you to explore Andalusia or combine two regions. For a complete tour including several regions and the islands, plan for a minimum of 10 to 15 days.

How do our Travel Planners personalize your Spanish tour?

Our local experts create your itinerary after a thorough interview about your interests, budget, and travel pace. They select charming accommodations, organize authentic experiences, and give you access to places unknown to the general public. Their knowledge of the terrain guarantees a unique trip.

Can we modify our itinerary during the trip?

Absolutely! Flexibility is the essence of a tailor-made trip. Your Travel Planner remains available during your stay to adapt your program according to your discoveries and desires at the moment. This freedom allows you to extend a favorite stage or add a spontaneous visit.
