Cities in Oregon

Why choose Oregon for your custom travel?

Oregon represents one of the most authentic destinations in North America, far from the traditional beaten paths of the American West. This Pacific Northwest state offers an exceptional diversity of landscapes across its 254,800 square kilometers, from wild coasts to volcanic peaks and ancient forests. Our local Travel Planners intimately know this region and will create your personalized trip to Oregon according to your desires and pace.

A diversity of breathtaking landscapes

Your custom travel in Oregon will reveal striking contrasts. The Pacific coast stretches over more than 580 kilometers, offering sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs, and spectacular rock formations such as the famous Haystack Rock of Cannon Beach, 72 meters high. Inland, the Cascade Range hosts majestic volcanoes including Mount Hood, which peaks at 3,426 meters, while Crater Lake, formed 7,700 years ago, features the deepest lake in the United States at 594 meters deep.

The gorges of the Columbia River constitute another gem of your custom stay in Oregon. This spectacular valley, a natural border with the state of Washington, has the highest density of waterfalls in North America. Multnomah Falls, 189 meters high, represents the most visited attraction in Oregon with over 2 million annual visitors.

The authenticity of a preserved Oregon

Unlike overcrowded tourist destinations, Oregon has maintained its authentic character and commitment to responsible tourism. The state has only 4.2 million residents, ensuring preserved spaces and authentic encounters with locals. Portland, nicknamed the "City of Roses," perfectly embodies this spirit with its 600,000 residents, its craft microbreweries, and its innovative culinary scene focused on local products.

Our Travel Planners will introduce you to unique experiences: tasting in the vineyards of the Willamette Valley, renowned for its pinot noirs, watching gray whales from the coast between March and October, or exploring Portland's farmers' markets where you can enjoy the best Pacific seafood.

Must-see sites during your personalized stay in Oregon

Oregon is full of outstanding natural sites and authentic towns that make up the very essence of this Pacific Northwest state.

Essential natural wonders

Your custom trip to Oregon would not be complete without discovering its national parks and exceptional natural sites. Crater Lake National Park is one of the absolute jewels of the state. This deep blue lake, nestled in Mount Mazama's caldera, offers stunning panoramas along Rim Drive, a scenic route that fully circles the crater.

The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area near Florence features a unique landscape along the west coast: 50 square kilometers of sand dunes reaching up to 150 meters in height. These dune formations, the most significant in Oregon, offer a variety of activities such as sandboarding or buggy rides.

The Columbia River Highway, built between 1913 and 1922, remains one of America's most spectacular scenic roads. This historic road winds through the gorges for 120 kilometers, revealing majestic waterfalls, vertiginous viewpoints, and historic bridges. Our local experts know the best photo stops and least frequented hiking trails.

Authentic urban experiences

Portland deserves several days during your personalized trip to Oregon. This Pacific Northwest metropolis is captivating with its relaxed atmosphere, eclectic neighborhoods, and renowned gastronomic scene. The Pearl District, a former industrial area converted, houses art galleries, design stores, and innovative restaurants. Washington Park concentrates several major attractions: the international rose garden with its 10,000 rose bushes of 650 varieties, the Japanese garden considered one of the most authentic outside of Japan, and the Oregon Zoo.

Cannon Beach, 130 kilometers west of Portland, embodies the archetype of a charming Pacific Northwest seaside resort. This small town of 1,700 residents attracts with its 6-kilometer beach, art galleries, and restaurants serving local specialties. The Haystack Rock, accessible at low tide, is home to a protected marine fauna including anemones, starfish, and sea urchins.

Coos Bay, the largest natural port between San Francisco and Seattle, offers an authentic experience of the Oregon coast. This city of 16,000 inhabitants lives to the rhythm of fishing and the timber industry. Our Travel Planners will recommend the best spots to taste Dungeness crabs, Yaquina Bay oysters, and Pacific salmon.

How to organize your personalized trip to Oregon

Planning a stay in Oregon requires a personalized approach taking into account the duration, budget, and time of travel.

Duration and budget for your road trip

An ideal customized stay in Oregon would require between 12 to 18 days to discover major sites unhurriedly. This duration allows alternating between natural discoveries, urban experiences, and moments of relaxation. Our Travel Planners tailor the itinerary according to your interests: hiking enthusiasts, gastronomy fans, families with children, or couples on a honeymoon.

The following table presents indicative budgets for different types of customized trips in Oregon:

Type of trip Duration Budget per person
Essential Discovery 12 days 2,800 - 3,500 €
Complete Circuit 15 days 3,500 - 4,800 €
Luxury Trip 18 days 5,500 - 7,500 €
Honeymoon Trip 14 days 4,200 - 6,000 €

These rates include international flights, selected accommodations, vehicle rental, and main activities. Our travel agency works exclusively with local partners committed to responsible tourism, ensuring quality services while supporting the local economy.

The best time for your trip

Oregon benefits from a temperate oceanic climate with variations depending on the region. The optimal period extends from May to October, with particularly favorable conditions between June and September. During this period, temperatures range between 15°C and 28°C on the coast and can reach 35°C in the inland valleys.

Summer represents the ideal season for your custom trip in Oregon: mountain roads are clear, allowing full access to Crater Lake National Park, and weather conditions favor outdoor activities. It is also the best time for observing gray whales migrating along the Pacific coast.

Spring (April-May) offers the advantage of lower rates and less crowded sites, but some high mountain roads may remain closed. Autumn (September-October) delights with its fiery colors in Oregon's forests and still mild conditions, particularly appreciated for tastings in the vineyards.

Our Travel Planners will advise the most suitable period according to your priorities: budget, tourist influx, desired activities, or weather conditions. They know the micro-climatic specifics of each region and will optimize your itinerary accordingly.

To organize your personalized trip to Oregon, just send us a detailed quote request. Our local experts will study your wishes and create a tailored itinerary, including authentic accommodations, exclusive experiences, and practical tips to fully enjoy this exceptional destination in the Pacific Northwest.

Whether you want to explore the wonders of Mount Rainier in neighboring Washington, extend your journey to San Francisco, or focus exclusively on Oregon's treasures, we will design a trip that matches your unique style.
