The Trip Planning Magazine to Sri Lanka

Why Choose a Tailor-Made Trip to Sri Lanka?

The island of Ceylon captivates with its extraordinary diversity concentrated over just 65,610 km². A tailor-made trip to Sri Lanka allows you to explore this unique destination at your own pace, discovering its multiple facets according to your passions and expectations.

A Destination with a Thousand Facets

Sri Lanka offers a range of incomparable experiences for your bespoke trip. You can start your adventure by exploring the Cultural Triangle, the true historical heart of the country, before escaping to the central mountains where tea plantations extend from Nuwara Eliya at an altitude of 1,800 meters. Wildlife enthusiasts will find their paradise in the national parks of Yala or Udawalawe, true sanctuaries for elephants and leopards.

Your personalized trip to Sri Lanka can also lead you to the paradisiacal coasts. The southern coast unveils its fine sand beaches at Mirissa and Unawatuna, while the eastern coast reveals renowned surfing spots like Arugam Bay. Between the Indian Ocean and verdant mountains, each region has its unique character and hidden treasures.

Our Sri Lankan Travel Planners intimately know their native island and its best-kept secrets. Their local expertise guarantees you an authentic stay in Sri Lanka, far from the traditional beaten paths. Must-Sees of Your Tailor-Made Stay in Sri Lanka

Your tailor-made trip opens the doors to an exceptional heritage, between millennia-old cultural sites and breathtaking natural landscapes.

The Cultural Triangle and Its Historical Treasures

The Cultural Triangle forms the historical heart of your stay in Sri Lanka. This region is home to three ancient royal capitals: Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, and Kandy, each bearing witness to glorious periods of Sinhalese history.

Sigiriya, nicknamed the Lion's Rock, is one of the must-see highlights of any trip to Sri Lanka. This rock fortress 200 meters high offers spectacular panoramas over the surrounding jungle. The frescoes of the Sigiriya Maidens, 1,500 years old, are among the most beautiful works of ancient art on the island.

In Dambulla, the Golden Temple reveals its five caves adorned with Buddha statues and remarkable wall paintings. Kandy, the last royal capital, houses the Temple of the Sacred Tooth, one of the most revered Buddhist sites in the world. Your tour can also include a visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, famous for its rare orchids and centuries-old trees.

Wild Nature and Tea Plantations

The central mountains of the country offer unique experiences for your personalized trip. Tea plantations stretch as far as the eye can see around Nuwara Eliya, creating a landscape of green hills dotted with picturesque villages. A tea factory tour introduces you to the secrets of this emblematic beverage, from the garden to the cup.

The Yala National Park in the south of the island promises memorable safaris. This 979 km² reserve hosts the highest density of leopards in the world, as well as elephants, sloth bears, and over 200 species of birds. Horton Plains, a high-altitude plateau at 2,100 meters, leads you to World's End, a vertiginous cliff offering a panoramic view over the coastal plains.

For hiking enthusiasts, the ascent of Adam's Peak (2,243 meters) represents a unique spiritual experience, especially at sunrise. The Knuckles Mountains offer trekking trails through exceptional biodiversity, classified as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO.

Customize Your Personalized Trip to Sri Lanka According to Your Wishes

Each traveler has their own expectations and passions. Our Travel Planners tailor your stay in Sri Lanka to create an experience that perfectly matches you.

Family Travels and Adventures

A family trip to Sri Lanka offers activities suitable for all ages. Your children will be amazed by the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where they can watch the daily bathing of the pachyderms in the Maha Oya river. Jeep safaris in the national parks turn every outing into a real treasure hunt for natural wonders.

The train journey between Kandy and Ella ranks among the most spectacular train rides in the world. This 7-hour trip crosses tea plantations, waterfalls, and vertiginous bridges, providing unforgettable memories for the whole family. The southern coast beaches offer a variety of water activities: snorkeling, whale watching off Mirissa, or beginner-friendly surfing spots.

For adventurous families, a custom road trip can include home stays, traditional cooking classes, and encounters with local communities. These authentic experiences significantly enrich your discovery of Sri Lankan culture.

Relaxation and Cultural Discoveries

Your stay in Sri Lanka may prioritize relaxation and well-being. The idyllic beaches of Bentota, Hikkaduwa, or Tangalle offer perfect settings for unwinding. Boutique hotels offer traditional Ayurvedic treatments, fragrant oil massages, and yoga sessions overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Art and culture enthusiasts will appreciate colorful festivals like the Kandy Perahera, a spectacular nighttime procession with adorned elephants and traditional dancers. A visit to the spice gardens of Matale reveals the secrets of the spice route that made the island wealthy: cinnamon, cardamom, clove, and black pepper.

A honeymoon in Sri Lanka combines romance and discoveries. Candlelit dinners on the beach, sunsets from Sigiriya, strolls in botanical gardens, and nights in exceptional accommodations create an unforgettable honeymoon.
