Porto can be explored on foot, certainly, but it reveals its full uniqueness from the Douro River. It's Porto's most popular cruise and probably the most accessible. In about 50 minutes, you cruise along both banks from the city centre of Porto to the most iconic bridges: Luís I Bridge, Arrábida Bridge, Infante Bridge, Maria Pia Bridge and São João Bridge. The departure takes place from the Ribeira quay or from Vila Nova de Gaia, with departures every 30 minutes between 10am and 6pm in high season (April to September). Fares start at €18 per person. For those who want to extend the experience beyond Porto's bridges, Douro Valley cruises open up a much wider horizon. Departing from Porto, it is possible to go upstream to Régua, Pinhão or even Barca d'Alva, near the Spanish border, about 180 km from Porto.
